Tax -Time

So it really is just around the corner and you should start to plan for it. Nope I don't mean Halloween or Christmas - Tax time
If you hire subcontractors you will need to fill out these pesky little forms called 1099s and then a summary page called 1096. So each subcontractor will get a form 1099 and then copy of each and the summary has to be sent you know where. Nope not the North Pole with Santa's letter but to the TAx guys.

Oh by the way - the IRS wants you to use these forms but they don't make it easy to get them. You can't download them - For some reason that's not legal. So you can try to order them for free from the IRS and hope you get them from their fulfillment center or for the sake of about 35.00 you can just go to staples..
